My name is Mirela, and I am from Brazil! I have four children and two grandchildren. Now that my kids are getting older, I have had much more time to devote to my own interests. I have always enjoyed tidying up closets, pantries, and messy places for my friends and family. Since they also liked my work, I was often asked to help whenever someone needed assistance moving, leaving for college, or making simple seasonal changes.
After being inspired by many home organizers, like Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin from The Home Edit, I decided to turn my organizational talents into a new career! I began seeking a mentor to help guide me to success, and that is how I came across Patricia Domingos in Brazil.
I started taking classes from Patricia to build my expertise. After completing many classes, reading several books, and doing extensive research, I earned various certificates in home organization including a Diploma in Professional Organization from FBR, a Brazilian University “Método Organizada”. Now I don’t just do simple tidy- ups’ from friends and family, I am a professional organizer!

Light Up Organizer can help organize any space in your home, including closets, offices, craft rooms, attics, garages, kitchens, pantries, etc. My work is designed to help people with busy lifestyles maintain a peaceful and light environment within their homes. Before starting a project, each client is given a one-hour complimentary consultation to discuss what work needs to be done.
After the consultation, I will determine the appropriate price and hours needed to complete the project discussed. The size of the space determines the price, how many items are in the space, and what work is being done. We can achieve this work in two ways:
The Full Service option allows you to focus on the most important aspects of your daily life by leaving the organizational process in my hands. I will sort, organize, and place items into new containers. The only part you are expected to play in the Full Service option is determining whether items are to be kept, donated, or moved to a new location.
In the Co-Organizing option, the customer participates in the organizational process with me. This efficient method, with two people working on the task, ensures that the project moves quickly and gives you a better understanding of where each item is in your home, without wasting your valuable time.
The Light Up Organizer is devoted to making your packing process stress-free by ensuring that each of your precious keepsakes are handled with care. Whether you are moving into a new space, moving items in your home into storage, or sending a loved one off to college, the Light Up Organizer can help your packing process move quickly and neatly.
Oftentimes a client and I will determine that the organizational structure of their space is not adequate for their needs or vision.
In these instances, it is up to the discretion of the client if they would like to bring in a subcontracted carpenter to build a new structure in their space.
If the client decides that they would like to build new organizational pieces, I have various contacts that I can connect them with. Designing new organizational spaces in your home is a great way to personalize your environment to your needs.
Decorations are a tradition that ensures excitement and comfort during the holiday seasons; however, packing up decorations after the holidays can be stressful and time-consuming.
That is why the Light Up Organizer provides Holiday Decoration Organization. Organizing your precious decorations can limit stress and optimize space in your home.
During this process, the customer can work alongside the Light Up Organizer or leave the work to us.
